A New Year and Some Resolutions
10:51 AM
Happy New Year to all my readers! As the New Year was approaching I saw so many bloggers doing round ups of the year for their blog. Since my blog only just started in late September, I felt that would be a bit silly. When I started blogging back in September, I wasn't really sure what I was doing. My blog didn't really have direction, my pictures were pretty bad (not that they're great now) and I had zero clue what I was doing.
Its amazing how far we've come in just a few months! Little by little I've chiseled out my place in the blogosphere and I look forward to continuing to provide great posts for my readers.
So what can you expect in 2016?
Goal 1: continue the sewing a Free Pattern Girls Wardrobe Series. By Mid April, I should have an entire capsule made for my eldest using ONLY free patterns. To keep me on track, I'll aim to review 1 free pattern a week AND provide content on how to plan out your capsule. Sometimes those 2 posts will blend together and sometimes not.
Goal 2: provide at least 1 women's pattern review, with fit, hacking and styling tips per week.
Goal 3: continue pattern testing, reviews, and blog tours. These depend on designers asking me to test, review or be part of a blog tour. I can't guarantee that I'll never have a week without a new pattern review. But I feel pretty confident that I have enough designers that I work with to provide good new content.
Goal 4: start doing a weekly roundup. Once a week, I will provide a mini post of any new patterns, blogs or tutorials I've come across that might be of interest to my readers. Sometimes I stumble upon new designers, free patterns, hacks or other bloggers that I want to share with you, but I wasn't sure how to do that in a usable format. I'll be stumbling through this process until I can come up with a quick and painless way to share some new things I've come across. New patterns, free patterns, hacks for patterns I've already reviewed. Basically my week in review of the interwebs. :)
Goal 5: as always, my blogs will include HONEST content. Of course, these are just my opinions. I'm not a professional with any sort of credentials. But I know what I know (and what I don't know) and I want my readers to feel confident they can trust what I write.
I hope you'll continue to follow along, sew along, and learn the ins and outs of fitting. I've certainly enjoyed the journey so far and look forward to what 2016 will bring!
