Choosing Colors
4:51 PMHave you ever sewn something up and then looked in the mirror and knew it would never get worn again? You'd made the style before, but something was just wrong wrong wrong?
Chances are the problem was the color.
Now, I'm no color expert. I've used a few different ways to find the right colors for me but a lot of it is just looking in the mirror.
That said, Seamwork has this great article about finding your colors, and I figured, why not?
So I followed their instructions, and I got these.
There's a few colors here that I am very familiar with. Lots of purples and pinks. But Green?! And mustard? Hmm... and where's my hot pink?
You can also try the Seasonal Color Analysis Method. This method gives me a Deep winter, which very much matches up how I feel most comfortable.
Want to try this method yourself? Here's the webpage.

So what method do you like best? Which one feels right to you?

Go with the "Color Me Beautiful" seasonal palette. Unless you like to look bland. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love hot pink WAY too much to tone myself down. Because regardless of the rest, "wear what you love and love what you wear!"
