In previous years, I've done pretty much whatever I wanted with my clothes. There was lots of black and more black. A few grays. Maybe a pink or purple. This year, I'm aiming for a more cohesive capsule with plenty of pops of color. I do LOVE black. It is a great color, and I'm not one of those people that get washed out if they wear it.
I used the Pantone Fall 2017 color chart to get started with my color choices. I felt myself especially drawn to the beautiful purple in the London color chart.
From those charts I knew I wanted Purple, Navy, Ballet Slipper Pink and Blue Bell or Marina.
Next, I of course needed to add in my favorite Neutrals. Black, Gray and Olive.
I've grown to love Fuchsia over the last few years, so that HAD to be included.
This past summer, I've really started to get a feel for Orchid and Mint.
Just like that, I had 10 colors. For the most part, they're versatile enough to mix and match (except maybe mint and olive). 5 great dark colors (that will match my mood during the -40 degree winter months). And some beautiful pops of color to remind me of spring.
Thanks to Katie over at the Creative Counselor, I'm ready to tackle the next step. Create a list of what I "need" to survive the winter.
