When I signed up for the E+M to Petitboo blog tour, I had of course planned for just one project. The Heather Dress was a great and very detailed pattern.

But then, I saw the Ambrosia Pattern and looked in my stash and knew that these were meant to be together. And then, I realized that my fabric went with my Color Me Lucky Tour Too! Oh man, you can't pass up that kind of prosperity.

So here I am with my second post for the E+M Petitboo Tour AND the Color Me Lucky Tour. YAY!

Just like the Heather Dress yesterday, the Ambrosia skirt is full of all those nice finishing details. The skirt to waistband seam has a beautiful enclosed finish and the waistband is fully lined. For a dropped waist circle skirt, the pattern comes with a ton of options. I knew that these specific fabrics needed simplicity to shine, but I can't wait to try one of the bow options included in the pattern.

One of the things that I really like about these patterns is that you have the option to either print out the rectangle pieces OR use the cut chart. In my case, my husband printed this for me, so I had the rectangle pieces.

This specific pattern has a flat front and elastic back. I did use my daughter's actual measurements to get the best elastic fit, as she is a super skinny minnie. This pattern has a finished length chart for the skirt, so you can be sure you get the right length. Of course this circle skirt has plenty of twirl ability.

I did a super fast rolled hem, but I know this would look amazing with a bias bound hem.

I swear to you, I did NOT teach this kid to pose for the camera. This is just who she is. Clearly, she loves it!
