Wardrobe in a Week.
2:20 PMDo you follow the Facebook Group Capsule Wardrobe Sew Along? I do and I love it. Thanks to Becca of Free Notion we've got a huge undertaking going on over on the facebook group.
Becca's prompt was to create a Wardrobe in a Week. She did most of the work, breaking it down into 3 different formalities and making the sudoku charts for us! WOOT!
All you have to do is drop in the patterns you're going to use (or store bought clothing) and then start sewing. Its only 9 garments and if you stick with quick sews, you'll have it finished in no time.
So of course I am ALL over this. I love a good challenge and I need clothes, so its a win win.
I didn't want anyone to miss out, so I'm blogging my plans and then will of course share my final version when I'm all done.
So of course I picked the super casual sudoku. You won't find this mama wearing heals to the park, or at any business meetings, unless bedtime negotiations count.
I hacked together some ideas and came up with this.
Boom. I actually have most of these already done in my closet! Many have been blogged too. The best thing about this is that it helped me realize I NEED SHOES.
So let's put together a temporary sudoku so you can see what this is going to look like for me. You will notice that I left 2 squares blank. Most people would put either a layer or an accessory there. I don't wear infinity scarves or necklaces (due to a nickel allergy) so I'll leave them blank. I am including 2 layers though and they are going to be pretty universal. Please note that I ended up moving things around already to try to get better matches!
I apologize for the blurry picture. I will have to find a better way to share my finalized sudoku. But for now, it is fine.
Row 1: Love Notions La Bella Donna, Jocole Leggings, Chuck Taylor All Star Classic
Row 2: Chuck Taylor All Stars, WWD Aviator, Kitschy Coo Trifecta
Row 3: RTW Grey Leggings, P4P Henley, ***EYMM Four Seasons Cardigan***
Row 4: RTW Raglan Zip Up Hoodie, Patterns for Pirates Layer Me Up, Mudd High Waist Skinny Jeans

Very nice! Mine for next week will be mainly business casual (will try to post my planned Sudoku on Friday) but I also need to do a casual one. Luckily there are already plenty of pieces in my drawers to fill up 2 and then some!
