Color Me Lucky- T-shirts

The Color Me Lucky Blog Tour is ALL about the Pantone 2017 color chart. I'm eager to share how I used the color chart, yet made items that are completely unique to each of us.

Sewing for kids always seems so much easier to me. Especially for my eldest. She knows EXACTLY what she likes. She took one look at the Pantone Color Chart and said, "blue mom." That was it, 2 words.

What does that actually translate into? That translates into a blue t-shirt and her favorite fit is the loose fit of the Patterns for Pirates Jolly Roger Raglan. I used the Cobalt Blue Cotton Lycra from Simply By Ti.

To play on the Lucky theme, just a little, I added in a green 4 leaf clover of course.

On the other hand, I think they made this color chart for my middle daughter!

Primrose Yellow? Check
Flame? Check
Pink Yarrow? Check.
We've even got Greenery!
Find blue background at local museum? SHE'S ON FIRE!

Everything EXCEPT the green (that is a woven scrap) is from the Cotton Lycras at Simply By Ti.

She looks super cute AND happy in her Sew By Pattern Pieces Fun Tee and Made for Mermaids Bonny Leggings with circle skirt.

Wondering how I got such cute applique? That would of course be thanks to my Silhouette.

I'd write you a tutorial, but that's already been done. You can check out my pin board to see all the things I use to keep my silhouette appliques looking great. And yes, I'm a super cheapskate, so you'll see tutorials on how to take simple shapes and turn them into cut files too.
