*repeats in this series
Why the repeats? Well the entire point of this series is to make interchangeable garments. And I'm really trying to not have to sew up complete outfits that can only be worn 1 way. So I'm mixing things up here. I'll only be writing mini reviews for the ones that are new to this week of the series.

Now of course make your way all the way to the end of the post because I've got more patterns to give away!

Up first, I've got the Dandelions N Dungarees Boho Classic Dress sewn up from my last fabric from my sponsor Fat Quarter Shop. As I said before these fabrics are just gorgeous and a dream to work with. They press beautifully and are so soft to the touch. You can read my full I LOVE THIS spiel over in week 2.

Now the Boho Classic Dress is a beautiful creation. It has a ton of different options to make a very boho style dress. It includes sizes 2T through girls 16. It has 2 bodices, 2 skirts and 3 sleeves. As much as I wanted to do the pintucks I felt like this fabric would be better served by a more simple design. The high low skirt and bell sleeves are nice details that would make a very formal dress. I think this style would be exceptionally gorgeous in a really drapey fabric like voile or crepe.

I just love the elastic sash instead of a full sized bow. EXCEPT I didn't take into consideration my daughter's tiny waist, so I now need to go back and seam rip to get a good fit. I normally don't seam rip, but this dress is too beautiful not to.

Next up is the Little Kiwi's Closet Sweet N Sassy Bubble Shorts with a Hailey Bug's Closet Perfect Puzzle Set T-shirt with a cute little mini pocket. The Sweet N Sassy Bubble Shorts pattern comes in sizes 2t-12 and can be used in wovens or knits. The thing I love best about these is how amazing they are for using up scraps! If you want to do the pockets or bows, you only need tiny pieces of fabric! Even the main pieces are pretty small and can be made from scraps. I love a great scrap buster. I of course did a far more simplified version but I didn't want to cover up the last of this cute cat fabric with a bunch of details. As soon as I was done, I started searching through my scraps to see what else I could make with this pattern!

I sewed up the Jocole Flounce Ruffle Pants in a simple woven cotton paired with the Hailey Bugs Closet Perfect Puzzle Set Tee from week 1. I sized up one size because I didn't want to have to remake these a few weeks from now, so please excuse the really loose fit. I did not include the ruffle and instead just cut at the capri line. For right now, they look like clam diggers. As she grows into them, they'll fit more like actual capris. I love that you can also grab the free pocket pieces from the Jocole blog to add a front inset pocket OR a back patch pocket.

Another Jocole Pattern (and one that you've already seen here on the blog) is the Jocole Crossover Tunic or Dress. This pattern comes in sizes 12 months through 14 and includes the doll pattern too. I really loved the one I made from my previous review, so I just had to share it again here. My favorite part of course was the applique, even if it doesn't photography well (reds are really hard to get clearly). I just love it in real life. I paired it with the Bella Sunshine Designs Bow Tie leggings from week 3.

The Once Upon a Sewing Machine Cecilia Puff Tee is free if you sign up for the newsletter. You may remember this from my review here. When I wrote my review, the pattern had a slight drafting issue in the truing of where the sleeve and neckline hit the fold line. Both however were easy enough to fix. The real reasons this shirt got added to the series though is because it is #1- Free and #2- The perfect fabric to coordinate with the Max Joggers.

The Max and Meena Max Joggers are as my daughter put it "the perfect pants". She really loves these pants and they make their way straight from her laundry basket to her body and back to the dirty laundry every week. The Max Joggers come in size premie through 14/16. They can be made with or without the fancy butt circle that Max and Meena is known for. I opted for the regular cut as my 7 year old was definitely not going to wear pants with a circle on her butt. But I love the way the butt circle looks on diapered babies. ;)

Whew. just 1 more week to go. Of course don't forget to register below for a chance to win 1 of 3 patterns from my sponsors, Little Kiwi's Closet, Max and Meena and Dandelions N Dunagrees.

  5. I don't know that I pay attention to the flowers here in Kentucky, because we usually still have a couple of good frosts that kill them, but I love the springtime trees and bushes! Lots of yellow forsythia, pink red bud trees, and white blooms on Bradford pear trees!
