Sewing Up Spring 1
8:00 AMOf all my blog tours, this one has me SUPER excited. It may have snowed this week, but I can finally get into a groove of thinking all about spring sews. When I think spring, I think florals, lace and pastels!
So today on
I've got the most amazing Patterns for Pirates Slim Fit Raglan.
When I first started thinking about this project, I started with the lace from Simply By Ti. I definitely had a few pastel shades to choose from, but I wanted to see how "mint" looked near my face, so I choose the spearmint stretch lace.
The spearmint stretch lace checks off all of my "spring" boxes. We have floral, lace and pastel. WOOT. Heck, I could have just taken a picture of this fabric and said, "yay spring" and been done. But I wouldn't do that to you.
Next I started browsing pinterest for inspiration. I have an entire pin board of lace inspired projects. But I knew the second I saw this scoop back, lace raglan that it was destined to me MINE!
Just like my Mama Claire Scoop back hack, I knew all I needed was to scoop the back and add a band.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this shirt. Now I need one in every color!
Be sure to follow along to be inspired!
